Parent-Toddler Class

Little Strokes’ Parent-Toddler class is a wonderful way to get your child loving the water! Our Parent-Toddler classes meet once a week for 30 minutes and have a maximum of 6 Parent-Toddler groups per instructor. You must be at least 6 months old to join this class.

Your child will learn how to blow bubbles while submerging and learn to balance their body while moving through the water on their front and back. We do all of this while keeping it light by combining fun songs, jump-ins and lots of smiles.

Age Group Classes, Ages 2+

Our Age Group classes meet once a week for 30 minutes, with a maximum of 3 children per instructor. Unlike the traditional level system, we group children first by their age; 2-4 and 5+, then by skill; beginner or swimmer. Our groups are not limited by level requirements, they are designed for our instructors to set individual goals based on where each child is in their stroke progression. This kind of class structure not only expands peer learning, it make scheduling more flexible!

Stroke Development

A Little Strokes Swim Academy “Black Wristband” is required for this class, designed for children who can perform front crawl, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke. The goal of this class is to produce four legal competitive strokes, while introducing flip turns, open turns and diving. Stroke development classes are 30 minutes in length and have a maximum of 3 swimmers per class.

Swim Team

Little Strokes Non-Competitive Swim Team is a stepping stone into the competitive side of swimming. Each hour-long swim team practice focuses on endurance, conditioning, form, legal swim strokes, and work ethic. This is the perfect opportunity for those swimmers that have put the four competitive strokes together, but aren't quite ready to join a competitive swim team like the Waunakee Wave or the DeForest Aquatic Club. This once a week class gives students the opportunity to move on from the hands-on instructor in the pool, to a coach out of the water on deck.  As this is a non-competitive team, there are no swim meets or competitions to attend, but it gives students the feel of what a competitive swim team practice would be like.
