Swim Instructors
Little Strokes has immediate and on-going openings for part-time and full-time Swim Lessons Instructors in our warm, 91° indoor pool. Swim coaching or competitive swim experience is required, as is a high school diploma and reliable transportation to the pool in Waunakee.
We are currently hiring for weeknight shifts (2:45pm-7:45pm), and Saturday & Sunday shifts (7:45am-1:45pm), but are open to creating a schedule that works for you! You can pick which days/hours you like, and you do not need to work the entire shift. Free snacks are provided to employees, and children of employees may receive free or reduced swim lessons.
The pool is located at 1029 Quinn Drive in Waunakee, just outside of Madison and a short drive from the UW, MATC, and Edgewood campuses. The pay rate for the right candidate is $22-$26/hour.
Lifeguards
Little Strokes Swim Academy has immediate openings for weekend afternoon lifeguards to supervise private pool rentals from the deck of our shallow, warm, 91° pool. Private pool rentals typically consist of 15-20 adults and children enjoying open swim with our provided pool toys; any children who aren't strong swimmers must wear a life jacket and be accompanied in the pool by an adult. The 28'x48' pool slopes from 3.5' to 4.'5, and beverages can be enjoyed from the deck but we do not allow food in the pool area or locker rooms.
The hours for rentals include Saturdays from 1-7pm, and Sundays from 2:30-7pm. Responsibilities for the lifeguarding position include supervising the pool and deck, answering questions, and some light cleaning. Current Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid certifications are necessary, applicants must be over 18 years of age. Enjoy a flexible schedule and free snacks during work!
