January Pool Rentals

Looking for a fun, SAFE activity for your family to enjoy during this chilly weather? Look no further than Little Strokes Swim Academy in Waunakee! The entire warm water pool will be reserved just for your group, as we only allow one rental at a time. 15 people can have a blast together during family swim time, or throw a birthday party to celebrate a loved one. The cost is $100/hour with a 1-hour minimum reservation.

Sunday, January 16th, 6-7pm

Monday, January 17th, 11am-3pm

Saturday, January 22nd, 5-7pm

Sunday, January 23rd, 5-7pm

The pool is kept at a toasty 91°, measures 28'x42' and slopes from 3.5' to 4.5' deep, so it is the perfect size and temperature for anyone! Noodles, rings, water games, innertubes, a basketball hoop, magic carpet mats and beach balls are all available to play with and are included for free! Feel free to bring along your own water toys to play with and beverages to enjoy – this includes adult beverages, but no glass containers please! No food is allowed inside the facility. Our normal facility restrictions apply to pool rentals, please let us know if you have any questions.

We keep our pool clean using a combination of chlorine and a UV filtration system, perform chemical checks throughout the day, and our air is turned over every 45 minutes. Staff sanitizes the pool area between rentals and there is no overlap between groups. This offer is open to anyone, so share this information with your friends and neighbors! Winter Break 2021

Just a friendly reminder that Little Strokes will not be holding lessons over Winter Break, from December 19th to January 2nd. Swim lessons will resume on Monday, January 3rd. We hope everyone has a great holiday and a peaceful start to the new year!

Changing Classes & General Public Registration

Those families currently registered for Fall 2 lessons wishing to change classes in 2022 can do so on Saturday, December 4th in their Parent Portal. General public registration for new families will begin on Sunday, December 12th. We are moving towards continuous enrollment, so your swimmer will stay in that specific class until they change to a different class or stop swim lessons. In 2022, registration will be on-going and students can register or change classes at any point.

Continuous Enrollment

In 2022 we will move to continuous enrollment with Jackrabbit. Once your swimmer has registered for a specific class, they will stay enrolled in that class from that point forward unless they’d like to change classes or cancel their enrollment. Occasionally an instructor’s schedule may change, and we will work with those families to find an appropriate class. Since lessons are continuous, we will no longer charge per session, but instead will charge per month. Monthly costs are calculated based on the number of each day of the week each month. Tuesday might have 4 classes and Wednesday might have 5. On the 20th of the month, your credit card on file will be charged for the upcoming month. (January 2022’s lessons will be processed on credit cards on December 20th, 2021). If you would like to take a break from lessons, we need to know at least one month ahead of time to be sure to remove any upcoming credit card processing. No refunds will be given for cancellations with less than a month notice. We will still accept cash and check payments and process credit cards at the office, please login to your parent portal to see your account balance and pay before the month starts.

Since we will no longer have sessions, we will award wristbands 4 times per year. The wristband weeks are: February 20-26, May 21-17, August 25-31, and December 4-10.

The dates lessons will be closed are: January 1, 17. March 18-27. April 16-18. May 28-31. June 1-3. July 4, 25-31. September 1-5. October 31 PM. November 21-27. December 19-31.

Text/Email Notifications

Thanks to Jackrabbit, we now have the ability to send emails and texts from Jackrabbit to specific audiences, such as current swimmers only, versus our entire mailing list or one at a time. This will enable us to streamline things when lessons are cancelled, or send out important information to lessons at specific days, times, or instructors. When lessons are cancelled our office staff will send out an email and a text to those families affected by the cancellation.

Please note – if you have blocked the email address or phone number from Jackrabbit, you will not receive these cancellation notices. The email will come from noreply@jackrabbittech.com and the text will come from (920) 313-3663. Morning hours added to Thanksgiving week private pool rentals!

We have added on private pool rental morning hours for Wednesday, November 24th and Saturday, November 27th! Rentals area available from 9am-1pm. All afternoon rentals are fully booked.

There is a pergola with a picnic table outside for you to use to enjoy any food or open presents. No food is allowed inside the facility. Thanksgiving Break

Just a friendly reminder that we are on a break from lessons for the Thanksgiving holiday from November 22nd-28th. Lessons will resume on Monday, November 29th.

Jackrabbit Payments & Continuous Enrollment

Thank you for your ongoing patience as we switch over to a new registration program called Jackrabbit! Most of you have gone into Jackrabbit to set up your Parent Portal, register your swimmers, and enter in your credit card information for billing. We have learned that credit cards are not processed automatically when you register or enter in your credit card information, office staff will manually batch process payments. While most have saved their credit card information in the Parent Portal, we ask that you take the time to do this so that it makes processing payments run more smoothly. You still have the option of paying with cash or a check at the pool, but it makes things easier if credit card payments are done through Jackrabbit. All previous credits from QuickBooks have been transferred over to Jackrabbit at this point.

Beginning in January, we will move to continuous enrollment. This means that you will keep your same spot going forward, and on the 20th of each month your credit card on file will be charged for the upcoming month of lessons. We will implement this continuous enrollment system in 2022, and will copy everyone's registration from Fall 2 into the 2022 year. We anticipate opening up registration for current swimmer changes sometime in early December, and opening up general public registration in mid-December. If you don't want to make a change, there is nothing you have to do! If you would like to make a change, you may do so when we open up current swimmer registration in early December. In 2022, registration will be ongoing and you can register and start at any time. If you will not be continuing with lessons in 2022, please let us know by November 30th. Please note that you can change your enrollment at any time in Jackrabbit!

Since enrollment will be continuous, if you would like to unenroll we will need to know one month ahead of time, to make sure your credit card is not charged for the upcoming month. Credit cards will be processed on the 20th of each month, so if you wish to unenroll starting in March, we would need to know by January 31st so as not to process your credit card on February 20th. If we haven't heard from you by the end of the month (January, for example), your card will be charged for the next upcoming month (March) on the 20th (February).

COVID Safety Precautions Update

Locker Rooms - Open Doors - One Way Traffic - Swim Team

At this point in our COVID journey we are excited to announce a couple changes that will bring us closer to a sense of normalcy around the pool. We are extremely thankful for all of the staff, swimmers, and families who have abided by our COVID safety precautions for the past year and a half plus.

Due to the colder weather quickly approaching, our locker rooms are now open to change before and after lessons. This means that you may enter the building ahead of your lesson time to use the locker room; you do not need to wait in your car. The showers will stay closed for the time being. If you are able to come to lessons dressed in your suit, that will help alleviate congestion in the locker rooms. All traffic will enter and exit through the main entrance; the door in the pool area will revert back to being an emergency exit. We have removed the one-way traffic expectation, but we will still end lessons 5 minutes early to allow for social distancing on deck between groups.

Friday and Saturday swim team will remain swimmers only, with parents/guardians not allowed on the pool deck due to space issues. Sunday swim team is now open for parents/guardians to watch from the pool deck. Parents for all swim team sessions have the option to watch swim team from the viewing area in the office. You can still feel free to drop off your swimmer and return when swim team is done, provided you have entered emergency contact information into the Jackrabbit Parent Portal. If you would like to switch to a different swim team time, we now have 3 options to choose from as we have added Sunday at 3pm with Mr. Rafal to the schedule!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our very own lifeguards Grace Blitz and Dylan Ryniak (and other Little Strokes alumni as well!) for being State Bound! They will represent WHS Women’s Swimming at the WIAA State Swim Meet this coming weekend.

Locker Room Policy Change

Due to the colder weather approaching, we will begin allowing use of our locker rooms for changing clothes after lessons. The showers will remain closed for the time being. We will still end lessons 5 minutes early to give you a chance to wrap in a towel and head to your car, use one of the on-deck changing stations, or go into the locker room to change out of your suit. Please exit the locker rooms into the pool area and head out the side pool door.
